MIZEN TO MALIN HEAD

Having attained the previous milestone of accomplishing the 3-day challenge, followed then by the 2-day challenge, the group decided to once more test their mettle and focus on completing the cycle sub-24 hours.

The group left Mizen, Cork at 6:00pm on a Friday evening and cycled all the way up through the centre of Ireland, through Athlone and into Malin Head. They cycled through the night, experiencing not only physical but also mental fatigue, which tested their resolve and commitment to their objective. After an arduous and exhausting 23 hours and 20 minutes, the group arrived in Malin Head having completed their 588km non-stop journey and pushed beyond their limits.

A total of €19,150 was collected from the 24-hour Mizen to Malin challenge for the Mayo- Roscommon Hospice.
